This young woman felt that her eyes made her look tired and angry, despite her young age. She was interested in opportunities to correct her heavy frown lines, elevate her brows, and minimize the excess tissue that was obscuring her eyes. In her consultation, Toronto facial plastic surgeon Dr. Rival explained her options and helped her decide on a method that would meet her goals and create results that would be appropriate for her face.
Sometimes, a browlift is enough to correct both low, wrinkled brows and excess eyelid tissue. When the lid tissues sag more severely, however, a browlift might be enough to elevate the brows and smooth forehead tissues, but not enough to tighten the thin, excess tissues above the eyes.
In this patient’s case, Dr. Rival recommended a combination of brow lift and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) for more complete rejuvenation. Her minimally-invasive browlift was performed through incisions concealed at the hairline near the temples. Dr. Rival removed some of the excess tissue above the eyes and, through the same incisions, divided the frowning muscles to help minimize the patient’s forehead lines.
The procedure is dramatic enough to create a much more refreshed, rejuvenated appearance, but subtle enough that she does not look at all “overdone,” and her new look appears natural for her face. As a result of her combination facial cosmetic surgery in Toronto, the patient has a much more positive and alert appearance. Her skin tone is better, and altogether she appears much younger and more rejuvenated.
