This young woman felt her nose was too large for her face. This was partly because of over developed nasal bone and cartilage but also due to thick nasal skin. Skin thickness is very important in rhinoplasty. Thick skin can limit the amount of reduction possible as it does not shrink itself around the new nasal framework as well as thinner skin will. Reduction rhinoplasty performed to reduce and narrow the tip and the the bridge. The results may seem less dramatic secondary to her thicker skin.
